Knowledgeable in both the world of multinationals as start-ups, Allard advises clients on IT, IP, privacy and digital laws. He does this, by using plain language and a lot of enthusiasm, because long sentences and complex wording add little value.

You can achieve this, by addressing the importance of privacy. Specifically through a positive approach by demonstrating the added value of a strong privacy culture. Additionally, a lot of persuasion and a little patience is helpful as well.”
I end my day satisfied knowing that, with the help of my advice, my clients can solely focus on their business. By building a close relationship with the client and understanding their organisation, I try to achieve this every day. “Outside of my work I really enjoy going out to the beach and kitesurf. In the winter I love to be in the mountains and ski.”
In addition to the subject of privacy, Allard also closely follows the developments of upcoming EU legislation. Examples of these are the DSA. the DORA and the AI-act. These new Acts aim to enhance the protection of the rights and freedoms of EU citizens. However, they do complexify the current playing field. By removing the complexity with clear and pragmatic advice, I think I can be effective for clients.
