When she embarked on her law studies, Laura thought she was taking a path that would lead her to a career either with a law firm or in a corporate legal affairs department. But then she started working at Halsten, and now she knows how interesting and innovative that can be.
“I am primarily involved in projects related to M&A. For example, I advise national and international companies in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other types of cooperative relationships. To me, business law, the fact that M&A involves many other areas of law, the dynamics and the usually harmonious conclusion of a transaction are the perfect combination. It is a dynamic process that has both substantive and project-related legal aspects.
Working at Halsten has certainly changed my view of what it means to provide legal services. I have worked on numerous deals for a variety of clients that have not forced me to follow the beaten path. And I am very proud of that!”
